Emmy on Justin Chatwin: "He's like my brother"
The National Ledger has an article from June 24th in which Emmy discusses her role in Shameless and her relationship with co-star Justin Chatwin."It's new for me," Emmy told People magazine. "I was really comfortable with Justin. “He's kind of like my brother. Well, I shouldn't say he's like my brother. But we're that comfortable with each other, so it didn't feel weird."
Emmy plays the eldest daughter of a large family who is left to raise her younger siblings while her father drinks his wages away. The series sounds depressing, but Emmy insists it is actually upbeat and full of humor.
"It's really outrageous and funny, the way it's told and depicted," she said. "Nothing's taken too seriously. So even though it's a hard circumstance, the family has an incredible will to survive. And there's a lot of funny naked drunkenness." (source)
